Gaumont Chronochrome was one of the first attempts to use three primary colors when producing color film.

The camera used in this process had three seperate lenses which took the red, green, and blue records simultaneously.

To show Gaumont Chronochrome film, a camera had to use different colored lenses. Technical limitations of this method never let it achieve wide usage in the movie business.

The process was invented by Léon Gaumont.
