A 'roadshow' was a special showing of a popular movie. It was more of an upscale presentation of movies, with no popcorn or candy, a larger screen, a curtained screen, an intermission, etc.
A little more money typically went into making movie posters for roadshows, so these posters may have better artwork than the original movie poster.
How do you spot a roadshow poster? Best way is to look for special larger logos on the movie posters; Todd-AO, 65mm presentation, 70mm presentation, etc.
