Framing refers to putting a movie poster in a frame.
If you take your poster to be framed somewhere, you should be really careful. Most framers might suggest dry-mounting for your movie poster, although this will significantly decrease the value of your poster.
The frame you choose for your poster has little affect on the actual preservation of the movie poster. It's more of an asthetic decision.
What is important is what is in front of and behind the poster. Glass isn't good for many reasons. Plexiglass is a good substitute, though.
As for the backing, make sure you use something acid-free.
