Salvador Toscano Barragán is usually given a lot of credit for early Mexican moviemaking.
Mexican Movie Poster Sizes:
- One Sheet / 1 Sheet / 1 sh - Very early Mexican one sheets were printed on newsprint, which makes them very fragile. Pre-1970s, Mexican one sheets measured 26x39 inches. After the 1970s, they were typically 27x41 inches. Modern Mexican one sheets are usually 27x40 inches.
- Half Sheet / 1/2 Sheet / 1/2 sh -
The Mexican half sheet is 20x28 inches, slightly smaller than the American half sheet. - Window Card - Mexican window cards are 12.5x19.5 inches.
- Lobby Cards / LC - Mexican lobby cards are 14x17 inches.
Most Mexican movie posters have 'Printed in Mexico' somewhere near the bottom of the poster.
