The Akron Civic Theatre (182 South Main Street in downtown Akron) was designed by John Eberson and built by Marcus Loew in 1929.
From 2001 to 2002, the Akron Civic Theatre underwent $19 million worth of restorations. The theatre is one of very few 'atmosphere theatres' left in the United States.
