Canada produces a lot of films for mainstream North American audiences (i.e. the United States.) Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are the movie capitals of Canada. Vancouver is second to Los Angeles as the largest film production city.
Canadian movie paper was produced in four main Canadian cities; Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and St. John New Brunswick.
Calgary Movie Posters
The Calgary production facility was known as Theater Poster Exchange originally. They primarily reprinted releases from the NSS, making modifications for different censors in different provinces.
Toronto
In addition to making modifications for posters from the NSS, the Toronto facility printed their own movie posters, programs, etc.
Montreal
What was unique about movie poster distribution in Montreal was the heavy use of French in the area.
Like the other areas, they received movie posters from the NSS. Most of these had limited credit information (i.e. words) on the posters, though. The Montreal branch would add these details in French to the posters before sending them out.
St. John, New Brunswick
This branch of movie distribution was set-up in the same way as the Calgary branch (see above.) It's now owned by Technicolor.
