Movie Poster Blemishes: Tears - Tears are rips in the poster where both sides are still there and you can match up the image/poster
The most common place for tears to occur in a movie poster are around the fold lines.
Note: Do not use Skotch Tape, Masking Tape of any other type of common household tape. This can cause further damage to your poster because of the way the glue on the tape is made. Look for archival tape, which is safe to use.
Also, it's best to tape from the back of the poster, not the front.
As with most other movie poster blemishes, the location of the tear determines any potential decrease in value of the movie poster.
